Lori Botello for CCCL#11

The stars aligned, and I am switching benches for the last time! With the announcement by Judge Bull this morning that she is not seeking re-election, I am now in the race for County Criminal Court at Law #11!!!

I filed the necessary paperwork and immediately hit the trail at the High Tea and Fashion Show with the Cy-Fair Republican Women. It was good to be back out on the campaign trail meeting voters, shaking hands, and getting signatures to get on the primary ballot!

In my previous quest for Judge of Criminal Court #9, I obtained pages and pages of signatures, but all those must be discarded for the new race. Therefore, my focus for the next few weeks is to obtain at least 300 signatures so that I can get my name on the Republican primary ballot.

The event today was truly unique with a style show, silent auction, and vendors offering their wares. One particular vendor grabbed my attention with his beautiful artwork and my heart with his family's incredible story. Grant Manier is a truly gifted artist, creating original pieces in his own unique medium by tearing bits of paper off of puzzle pieces and turning them into masterpieces. Today, I bought a one-of-a-kind piece and received a book to share with my girls, which was written by his mom titled Different Is More. Check out our photos on my website and Facebook! It was an honor to meet them, and I am proud to now own an original Grant Manier piece for my office.

I'm excited to be back in the saddle on the campaign trail and look forward to this race for CCCL#11.

Thanks,
Lori
